This sparkling shows aromas of white fruits, citrus, tropical fruits, and light floral notes. The palate is exquisite, complex and full of flavor, with good acidity and notes of lime and pineapple. It is dry and long on the finish. Blend: 50% Macabeo, 35% Parellada, 15% Xarello
Deep ruby in color, the nose offering up baked black plum, blackcurrant and black cherry fruit to begin, fleshing out to leather, graphite and cast-iron pan with red cherries and chocolate notions. Medium to full-bodied, it’s classically styled in the mouth, with a firm frame of chewy tannins and a long, refreshing finish.
Decent depth, varietal flavor, well-managed tannins—all present and accounted for here. There’s a mix of red and blue berries, and a wash of wet stone adding texture to the mouthfeel. The finish falls a bit short, but that’s what separates it from the pricier bottles.
